Why we built an independent, route-level view of historical U.S. flight reliability.
Why this exists
“Are evening flights worse?” and “Which airline is more reliable on this route?” are simple questions buried inside a very large public dataset. DelayOdds turns those records into legible route reports without pretending historical statistics know tomorrow's weather.
Editorial principles
- Show the sample beside the percentage.
- Keep route direction explicit.
- Publish the denominator and thresholds.
- Withhold weak slices instead of manufacturing certainty.
- Separate planning evidence from live operational advice.
Independent project
DelayOdds is independent. It is not affiliated with BTS, DOT, an airline, or an airport. Questions about a current trip belong with the airline or airport.
